Earbuzz

Earbuzz boasts that artist truly get 100% of the revenue the generate. You can sell mp3s and physical CDs, or you can sell whole albums via digital download. Each CD you submit to them gets reviewed by them, and that review is posted on your artist page. You send them the CD, they do the rest - encode, scan, post, etc. God bless their FAQ, it actually answered 99% of my questions (doesn't always happen with these websites - in fact, not even close). This profile last updated 2008-06-04.

Services:
  • sell your mp3s
  • sell your CDs
  • allows users to preview your music
  • only allows preview clips (not full-length) of music
  • you can link back to your website
  • allows you to contact users/fans
  • Other services: You get a sales widget - yahhhh. They will report your sales to soundscan if you want, but you'll need to supply your own barcode.
Costs:
  • one time fee of $25
  • a recurring fee of $2.00 per month
  • Other costs: The $25 one-time fee is per album.
A note from Earbuzz: One clarification that separates us from most other sites, songs are also encoded in 256-bit aac which is the highest quality on the net (some call high definition HD). At 89 cents, there's not a better place to buy music and the quality is outstanding.
